Astéri Fili - Lifeblood a hades fancomic anthology
I had the honor to be part of this amazing comic anthology with a bunch of talented artists & writers, the love everybody poured on this project was inspiring, and a big warm thank you to my partner in this adventure: Maggie!
We clicked right away and her love for mythology sparkled something in me that I haven't felt since I was a child reading all the wiki pages I could find in greek mythology.
We decided to focus on the Minotaur tale with a twist, focusing on mother figures, and the impact their kindness had on him. A lot of people already make fanart and content for his relationship with Theseus, so this concept felt more unique and refreshing, something we hadn’t seen before.
Character explorations for Ariadne, drawing pretty characters are easy for me so I usually start a project with those.
Ariadne character exploration, trying different kinds of silhouettes with Minoan dresses. Felt I could have gone further but at this point we realized she wasn’t gonna show up that much so I had to focus on other things.
Getting used to the shapes and angles of cow/bull faces since I’ve never drawn them before.
